1. Policy identity
This policy applies to Monster Lab for Android, including its Google Mobile Ads and User Messaging Platform (UMP) integrations. The developer and publisher is NgDinhNha.
2. Scope and summary
The core game works offline and does not require an account. Advertising and consent features may communicate with Google and participating advertising providers; their processing depends on the user's choices, applicable requirements, and the services in use.
3. Developer-operated services not used
Monster Lab has no account or login system, developer-operated gameplay or cloud-save backend, real-money billing or in-app purchases, standalone Firebase Analytics/product analytics SDK, or standalone crash-reporting SDK. The developer does not operate a service that uploads the local gameplay database. Google Mobile Ads may itself process advertising, measurement, and diagnostic information as explained below.
4. Google Mobile Ads and third-party data processing
Google's current Android disclosure for Google Mobile Ads Next-Gen says the SDK automatically collects and shares data for advertising, analytics/measurement, and fraud prevention. This can include an IP address (which may estimate general location), app interactions such as launches, taps, and video views, app/SDK diagnostic and performance information, and device/account identifiers such as Android advertising ID and app set ID and, when applicable, other identifiers associated with signed-in device accounts.
Google states that SDK data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Android advertising ID collection is optional at the SDK/platform level and users can reset or delete that ID through Android settings. Monster Lab does not claim that advertising data is never collected or shared. 5. Consent and privacy choices
Monster Lab uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to update consent information and display a message when required. Monster Lab uses AdMob privacy messaging configured for applicable European regulations and US state regulations. Message display and available choices vary with geography, applicable requirements and Google services; not every user sees the same message.
Whether a consent message or privacy form appears depends on geography, applicable law, Google services, the configured message, and UMP's runtime requirement state. Ads are requested only when UMP reports that requests are permitted. When UMP says a Privacy Options entry point is required, users can open Google's Privacy Options from the in-game About & Privacy screen.
6. Advertising and gameplay
The game may show a consent-gated banner on Home after onboarding, offer optional rewarded ads, and show restrained interstitial ads at eligible natural breaks. An Expedition's normal result is granted before an optional reward offer. A rewarded bonus is granted only when the ad SDK confirms it was earned; dismissing or failing to load/show an ad does not remove normal game rewards. Core Fusion, Care, Expeditions, Research, collection, timers, and local saving do not require watching ads.
7. Local app data
Gameplay progress is stored in Android private app storage, primarily in a local Room/SQLite database. Narrow private preferences hold settings and daily or frequency gates. Depending on use, local information can include owned/discovered monsters, keeper names, traits and Bond; gameplay resources; Encyclopedia and research progress; quests, Expeditions and field notes; Incubation and long-term project state; Care, Journal, habitat and Living Lab data; and limited settings/timestamps. The developer does not upload this gameplay database to a developer-operated server. Advertising and consent SDK traffic is separate.
8. Android backup and device transfer
Android backup support is enabled. Depending on Android/Google settings and effective backup rules, eligible app data or preferences may be copied or restored through platform backup or device-transfer services. NgDinhNha does not operate those services or receive those backup files. Availability and retention follow the platform and the user's settings.
9. Network permissions and external links
The app declares Android INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permissions for advertising and consent network behavior. Core play remains available offline. An optional support/contact action in About & Privacy opens the user's external browser, which follows its own privacy practices.
10. Purchases
Monster Lab does not include real-money billing or in-app purchases. Advertising does not provide an ad-exclusive species or required progression path.
11. Children's privacy and target audience
Monster Lab does not require an account or ask players to submit their age to use core gameplay. Consent and advertising features are subject to applicable regional requirements and the services' configured privacy controls. 12. Retention and deletion
Users can remove local game data by clearing the app's storage in Android settings or uninstalling Monster Lab. Any platform backup copies follow Android/Google controls. There is no developer-hosted player account database requiring a server-side deletion request. Google and participating providers apply their own retention, access, and deletion controls to data they process.
13. Security
Local gameplay data is stored in Android private app storage and is subject to the device and Android security model. Google states that Google Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit using TLS. No storage or transmission method can be represented as risk-free.
14. Changes to this policy
This policy may change if Monster Lab's features, SDKs, advertising or consent configuration, data handling, or applicable requirements change. The Last updated date above identifies the current revision. If our data practices change materially, we will update this policy to describe the new practices.
